Frequently Asked Questions

Preparation

How do I check my terminal arrival window and the port-of-call day?

Kriativos On Board takes place November 20–23, 2026, on MSC Musica, departing from and returning to Santos, with a port of call in Búzios. Check the day and time of the port of call, your terminal arrival window and the boarding instructions in your booking's itinerary and voucher. Don't use the charter bus schedule as the ship's schedule.

Source: Booking Itinerary
Who requests the cabin vouchers, when and through which channel?

Royal Trip handles issuing the group check-in. When Júnior announces it in the official group, the person responsible for the cabin should message him privately to receive the vouchers and luggage tags as PDFs. Check the details of all passengers and print the documents. Follow the agency's announcements; there's no confirmed release date.

Which document should I bring? Is an old RG or a digital CNH accepted?

For Brazilians on this domestic itinerary, MSC accepts the RG (Brazilian ID card), the CNH (Brazilian driver's license), a passport and other civil documents allowed under its official rules, as long as the ID is valid and has a recognizable photo. For this itinerary, MSC doesn't require an RG issued less than ten years ago. A digital CNH must be opened in the official app; screenshots, photos and copies don't replace the document. Preferably, also bring the physical document and keep your voucher and ID at hand.

Source: MSC Documents [S02]
What documents do I need for minors or foreign passengers?

Confirm with Royal Trip the documents and authorizations that apply based on the passenger's age, the guardians traveling with the minor, nationality and residence. Ask for the correct form when an authorization is required, and have everything ready before the trip. Don't send personal documents through the public questions form.

Source: MSC Documents [S02]
I'm pregnant: what arrangements and medical certificate should I send to the agency?

MSC doesn't allow travel if the pregnancy reaches 24 weeks at any point during the cruise. Below that limit, it requires a medical certificate stating fitness to travel and a low-risk pregnancy, with the gestational age, the estimated due date, the doctor's CRM (Brazilian medical license number), signature and stamp. Let Royal Trip know in advance so they can forward the documents and review your booking.

Source: Official MSC Accessibility and Health Rules [S03]
How do I check that my baby is included in the cabin and request a crib?

All passengers, including babies, must be listed on the cabin booking. The mini-cruise allows babies to take part according to MSC rules for this cruise length. Confirm fares, fees, crib availability and other conditions with Royal Trip; don't assume it's free or that a fare applies automatically by age.

Source: MSC Children [S08]
Do I need to show a Covid-19 vaccination or test?

Check with Royal Trip and MSC the health requirements in effect for your sailing. Don't treat the old two-dose or antigen-test rules as current instructions. Requirements may change depending on the health situation, the destination and decisions by the authorities; follow the official guidance you receive for your boarding.

Source: MSC Documents/Accessibility [S02/S03]
What is MSC's luggage allowance?

Per person: two bags of up to 23 kg each, measuring up to 90 × 75 × 43 cm, and two carry-on pieces of up to 10 kg each, measuring up to 56 × 45 × 25 cm. Per cabin, the total can't exceed 100 kg and/or eight pieces. Also check your ticket and the specific limits for flights and ground transportation. Full summary in MSC Rules.

Source: Official MSC Luggage Rules [S01]
How do I check my bags and what stays with me?

Attach the tags you received from the agency to your checked bags and follow the staff's directions at the terminal. Keep documents, valuables, medications and essentials in your carry-on: your bags may reach the cabin later.

Source: MSC Luggage [S01]
What's prohibited? Can I bring a hair dryer, flat iron or drone?

MSC prohibits bringing on board any beverages, alcoholic or not (the exception is factory-sealed water for medical devices or infant formula), weapons, sharp objects such as blades and scissors, illegal drugs (including medical marijuana), flammable materials and explosives, and items that heat up or have an open flame, such as clothes irons, kettles, candles and incense. Hair dryers and flat irons are allowed. Drones may be carried if stored in your cabin, but using them on board is prohibited; ashore, local rules apply. Inflatables, such as air mattresses and rafts, can't be inflated on board. Alcohol bought in onboard shops or ashore is held by security until the end of the cruise. For food, MSC makes an exception for packaged, industrially processed dry foods. Prohibited items found at screening are confiscated and not returned; check the full official list and the conditions for special needs. Full summary in MSC Rules.

Source: MSC Luggage [S01] and MSC Guest Code of Conduct
What does the cabin provide and what should I bring?

The cabin provides bed linens, towels, liquid soap, shampoo, a hair dryer, TV, air conditioning and a safe. Bring your personal toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste and conditioner, plus sunscreen and a compatible plug adapter if needed. Check the equipment and amenities of your booked category with the agency. The minibar doesn't guarantee suitable refrigeration for medications.

Arrival

How does the official KOB charter bus work?

The charter bus runs round trip between Barra Funda, in São Paulo, and the Port of Santos. The meeting point is on Rua Tagipuru, near No. 552, behind the Memorial da América Latina. Bus 1: meet at 6:00 AM, departure at 6:30 AM, grace period until 6:40 AM. Bus 2: meet at 6:40 AM, departure at 7:20 AM, grace period until 7:30 AM. Arrive at the meeting time; the grace period isn't a new departure time. Check which bus is assigned to your booking.

Bus 1 is confirmed. Bus 2 and any other buses depend on a minimum number of passengers; if it isn't reached, the operation provides for a full refund via Pix (Brazil's instant payment system). The return from the Port of Santos on Nov 23 is scheduled for 10:30 AM. Check the current terms on the official charter bus page.

I'm flying in. Is there a KOB bus at Congonhas or Guarulhos?

The KOB charter bus leaves from Barra Funda, not from the airports. If you'll rely on road transportation to Santos, Guarulhos may be an option; Congonhas and Viracopos are also alternatives. Before buying or planning your route, check with the airline and Viação Cometa about routes, final destination, schedules and availability for the date. If you arrive at the Santos bus terminal (Rodoviária de Santos), plan an extra transfer to Concais. Allow extra time for traffic, lines and the holiday; the times mentioned are estimates.

Source: Viação Cometa [S10]
I'm driving. What should I do about parking?

The official Concais parking can be reserved in advance. Check availability, rates, the access address and instructions directly with the terminal before you leave (concais.com.br). When you arrive, follow the staff's directions for checking your bags.

Source: Concais
Can I use my cabin as soon as I board?

Cabins may still be getting ready. They may be released around 1:00 or 2:00 PM; wait for MSC's announcement. While you wait, check out the buffet options and keep what you need with you until your bags arrive. Go by the announcement the ship actually makes.

Is the safety drill mandatory?

Yes. Complete the mandatory procedure MSC indicates for your boarding. The crew will share the location, time and steps, including instructions in the app. Don't assume that watching a video or opening the app, on its own, covers all your obligations.

Games & Activities

Where and when do I pick up my kit? What's in it?

The meet-up and kit pickup are planned for 4:00/4:30 PM on the first day at the Crystal Lounge; the room and time will be confirmed in the official group. The kit includes a badge/lanyard, a wristband, a collectible commemorative coin and a sturdy tote bag from Fácil Shopping. Check the announcements before heading to the meet-up.

Where do I find the event schedule and announcements?

Look for the bulletin board at the entrance to the game room and follow the event's official group. MSC's daily program lists the ship's services and activities. Check these channels for changes and confirmations; this guide covers preparation and doesn't replace onboard announcements.

How do I confirm the room, the table hours and the Sunday return deadline?

The Crystal Lounge is the space planned for KOB. The room still depends on MSC's confirmation. Extended gaming hours are expected during the day and at night, according to the event schedule. Tables are open to everyone, on a rotating basis. On Sunday, we'll announce the deadline for returning the game library titles and clearing the tables for the final inventory.

How do I register my attendance on Guru and find games and game teachers?

Board Game Guru is the event's app for games and giveaways, available for Android and iOS. Open the Kriativos On Board page and tap ‘I’m going’. You can also browse titles, filters, game teachers who explain rules and games shared by attendees. The app's official website is boardgameguru.app.

I can't use the app. Can I take part in the giveaways?

Look for the Encounter team to request manual inclusion on the list and confirm your registration. To enter the giveaways, tap ‘I’m going’ or register your attendance with the game teachers. Follow the official group for the rules and times as they're announced.

Can I bring games and prototypes, favorite titles and share my collection?

Yes. Register the games you plan to bring in the app, including by importing them from Ludopedia or BoardGameGeek, and favorite the titles you want to play to help the game teachers plan. Label your games and stay within your baggage allowance. Those who share the most games may receive prizes and surprises; we'll announce the criteria in the official group. Prototypes can be shared, but a formal activity depends on the event schedule.

How do I check out games, and can I use them outside the room?

Follow the game teachers' instructions for checkout, care and return. When you take a game from the game library outside the room, register your name and cabin with the team for tracking; the title is your responsibility. Use permitted areas and don't take up restaurant tables with games. Return everything by the deadline announced for the inventory.

I've booked and want to join a table: how do I find game teachers and activities?

Look for the Encounter game teachers to pick games, learn rules and find people to play with. On Guru, you can also see who knows each title. Check the bulletin board for activities and tournaments as they're confirmed. You don't need to arrive with a group already formed.

During the Cruise

What should I wear? Do I need formal attire?

Bring comfortable clothes and shoes for the day and for gaming, plus a light jacket for the wind and the air conditioning. For dinner, wear neat casual or smart casual; the main restaurant doesn't allow tank tops or flip-flops. Check the ship's guidance for each venue and night. You don't need a suit or a formal gown.

How do I prepare for the themes and check party times and locations?

The White Party is on the schedule; bring something white if you'd like to join. For the KOB closing on Sunday night, the theme is the 80s, with retro pieces, neon and accessories. Themed outfits are optional. Confirm times and locations in the schedule; a private space for a costume party depends on the ship's authorization.

Where can I check meal times and alternatives to my dinner seating?

Your booking includes full board as purchased, with meals at the buffet and the main restaurant. There are pizza options at extended hours, close to 24 hours a day, but the confirmed hours for each service appear in the MSC daily program. Don't assume the entire buffet runs nonstop. Specialty restaurants and extras are charged separately.

How does my dinner seating work? What if I'm late?

Check your Cruise Card for the seating and table assigned for the main restaurant. Arrive on time: the 15-minute grace period refers to kitchen orders. If you miss your seating, check the buffet and pizzeria alternatives in the daily program. The times mentioned are examples and don't replace the seating on your booking.

Can I have dinner with friends from other cabins?

Right after boarding, find the restaurant's maître d' with the numbers of the cabins that want to sit together and ask for the tables to be combined. The team will confirm whether there's still room at dinner.

I've already chosen a package: how do I check the cabin rules and the daily limit?

It's optional. The options mentioned are Non-Alcoholic, Easy and Premium Extra; confirm the packages available for your sailing. If one adult purchases a package, the other adults in the cabin must follow the same package rule; children and teens follow the non-alcoholic option for their age, with exceptions for babies according to MSC. Easy and Premium Extra include up to 15 alcoholic drinks per person from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM the next day. Confirm price, deadline, discounts and installment options with Royal Trip.

Source: MSC Package Rules [S04]
Is the minibar included in Premium Extra?

No. Having a minibar in your cabin doesn't mean its products are part of the drink package: items consumed from the minibar are charged separately. You can store drinks picked up at the bars as allowed by your package; check whether the service will be available and how it works.

Source: MSC Package Terms [S04/S06]
How do I buy internet access? Can I transfer or share it? Will my phone work in Búzios?

Internet access beyond the ship's network is purchased separately. MSC packages are personal and tied to the activated devices; choose how many devices you plan to use, since replacing a device that's already registered isn't allowed. Don't count on transferring or sharing an individual package. In Búzios, there may be signal from Brazilian carriers, depending on coverage and location. Check the port-of-call day in your booking and your carrier's terms.

Source: Official MSC Terms [S06]
Can I use MSC for Me and the chat without an internet package?

Connect to the ship's internal Wi-Fi to use the available MSC for Me features. The onboard chat doesn't require an external internet package; MSC lists the service for guests over 16. Add ‘Kriativo’ to your name or nickname so your friends can find you more easily. Check which features are available on MSC Musica and follow the onboard instructions.

Source: MSC for Me [S05]
How do I pay for onboard expenses? Are Wise/Nomad and installments accepted?

Onboard purchases are recorded on the account linked to your Cruise Card. Confirm with MSC/reception which methods are accepted to link or pay this account, the currency and any deposits. If you plan to use an international card, check that it's enabled and accepted, and bring the physical card. Wise, Nomad and installments may be available, but confirm availability, criteria and conditions before counting on them. The cabin price in Brazilian reais and the currency for onboard spending are separate matters.

How do I check which specialty restaurants are operating and book them on this sailing?

They're extra services, separate from full board. Kaito Sushi Bar and Butcher’s Cut are options that have been mentioned; MSC lists Butcher’s Cut on MSC Musica with a planned start in November 2026. Confirm which restaurants will be operating on your sailing, how to book and the onboard prices.

Source: MSC Musica [S07]
What should I check in the insurance offer and policy?

Insurance is optional and recommended for unforeseen events and private medical expenses. The approximate price is R$ 112.00 per person, with a cancellation condition covering 29 reasons, and it must be purchased up to twenty days before boarding. Ask Royal Trip for the current policy and offer, and confirm price, deadline, coverage, exclusions, currency and assistance before purchasing.

My medication needs refrigeration, or I need an accommodation. What should I do?

Let Royal Trip know in advance, through a private channel, so they can forward your need to MSC and confirm the arrangements. Don't assume the cabin minibar keeps the temperature your medication requires. Pack your medications and personal instructions in your carry-on. Don't send prescriptions, medical reports or diagnoses through the general questions form.

Source: MSC Accessibility [S03] + Royal Trip
How does the kids club work? Does the staff change diapers or provide meals?

MSC offers kids' activities by age group; hours and sign-up should be checked on board. The Doremi Club runs from about 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Children in diapers must be accompanied, since kids club activities don't include diaper changes or meals. Confirm these conditions with the MSC Musica youth staff: services like Baby Care have their own rules and shouldn't be confused with the kids club. Plan the child's care and meals with their parent or guardian.

Source: MSC Children [S08]
Are water, tea and coffee free? Will we have the Aqua system?

The buffet offers water, tea and coffee dispensers, subject to the service's operating hours. The Aqua system may offer refillable bottles for guests with a package. Confirm availability and conditions on MSC Musica for this sailing with MSC; don't count on an included bottle without that confirmation.

Disembarkation

How long can I stay in my cabin on Monday?

The cabin must be vacated early so the next cruise can be prepared. Follow the time MSC announces on board; 10:00 AM is only a reference and doesn't guarantee you can use the cabin until then. Plan breakfast, luggage and documents for disembarkation.

Source: MSC On Board
How do I organize my luggage for disembarkation?

Follow the disembarkation instructions and tags provided by MSC, including the procedure for collecting your bags. Pack what you need for the last night and the following morning in your carry-on. Make sure you have all your bags at the terminal and review the meeting instructions for your transportation.

Do all companions need to be in the group? Who should I contact?

Add your cabin companions and family members to the official group so they receive the announcements. Ask the person in charge, through the channel already shared, to add them; the charter bus group is a separate channel for those who booked that transportation. For vouchers, cabin details and bookings, message Júnior/Royal Trip privately. For games, the event schedule and the kit, talk to our team and the game teachers.
